Helpful tips when applying at Top of the Range

Sometimes finding the right job can be hard, below are a few tips that will help you when applying for a job with us.

  • Understand the position
    It is very important that you understand the position you are applying for. This saves your time, and our time. Ambition is encouraged, but please do not apply to positions for which you cannot meet the requirements.

  • Follow application instructions
    Some positions that we advertise will need specific information from you in order to assess your application. Provide this info as accurately as possible, and it will make your application go a lot smoother.

  • Make sure you can work the hours
    Apply for the roles that match your availability. For example; if a job is advertised for a Saturday, and Sunday, then please don't apply unless you can work those days, and hours.

  • We initially communicate via email
    All initial communications regarding job positions will be conducted by email. We appreciate the enthusiasm of applicants that want to speak on the phone, or in-person, however in order to manage applications efficiently, we will contact you via email.

  • Meeting the requirements, or prerequisites of a role
    Read through the open position profile carefully, and make sure you meet all prerequisites. For example, if the role requires you have an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate, make sure you have one, or are in the process of getting one at the time of your application. etc.

    Each job profile is different, and each has it's own list of requirements.

    Examples of requirements we may ask for (depending on the role):
    - RSA
    - Food handler certificate
    - Police check
    - Valid Drivers Licence

    ALL roles require:
    - Australian citizenship, or permission to work in Australia
    - You mst be over 16 years of age
